Retail Therapy | Mini Haul

Hey friends! I don’t know about you guys, but whenever I’m down, there’s nothing that can cheer me up quite like a bit of shopping. The past few weeks have been a bit tough so of course I gave in and did a little online shopping. It’s a weakness of mine! I mean how great is it that I can buy new things without even leaving the house!?

I ordered some items from a few different places that I already love. These are things that I bought simply to put a smile on my own face and give me something to look forward to during that drag of a week. Keep on reading to see what I got!

You may or may not know this about me, but I’m a HUGE Alissa Ashley fan. She’s a beautiful YouTuber that makes very helpful makeup tutorials and other fun videos. (Check out her channel here!) Recently she launched a lip gloss with e.l.f Cosmetics that sold out quicker than even Alissa herself expected, and I was one of the lucky ones to get my hands on it. AlissaAshleyGloss

It’s a beautiful nude rose that I’m sure can compliment a wide variety of skin tones. The gloss is opaque and can be worn on it’s own, or on top of a liner or lipstick. I’ve tried it on a few times now and it’s SO comfortable to wear! It’s not sticky or too slippy either. I’m so happy for Alissa, and I can’t wait to have my lip gloss POPPIN’ all over town!

Now I DO NOT like to be ashy or even the teensiest bit of dry, so I couldn’t help but to smile when I opened my email and read that Bath & Body Works was having a sale on ALL of their body butters. The body butters at B&BW usually cost $16.50 or if you’re into the seasonal scents, $19.50, but for this particular one day sale they were $5.95! That’s a huge difference so naturally I bought 3.

I picked up Warm Vanilla Sugar, Marshmallow Pumpkin Latte, and the Aromatherapy Comfort (Vanilla + Patchouli) scents. I’m so happy with my selections, they all smell so yummy and cozy. Perfect for the somewhat fall weather we’ve been having here in Florida. The body butters are much more moisturizing than their regular body lotions. I’m not sure about the 24 hour claim, but they are definitely long wearing and worth a try!

Last, but not least, I picked up the Morphe Brushes 35O2 eyeshadow palette. This is probably my favorite puchase out of all of them. I absolutely love warm tones and this palette is full of them! I already own the original 35O palette and I totally get why it was a cult favorite for so long. It’s pigmented and there are so many looks you can get out of it, but I think it’s little sister came to take over!

Morphe is under a bit of rebranding it looks like. The packaging on these newer palettes is different, more sophisticated. And the shadow formulas themselves have been improved as well. They seem to be taking this move to Ulta very seriously, I’m completely here for the upgrade. This palette is so versatile, you can get bold looks, soft looks, smokey or natural! The possibilites are really endless. There’s even a black shade in this palette!

So those are the items I bought over the course of the last two weeks. I’m so happy with the purchases I’ve made. They certainly did the job of making me feel better!

And can I just say that I’m so proud of myself for keeping the spending to a minimum! It’s so tough sticking to a budget and saving money, but it’s important.
